Geraldine Waters - Paediatric Manager

Geraldine is the Konfident Kids Paediatric Manager and is also a qualified Speech Pathologist and Registered Psychologist. Geraldine has been with Accent Health Sciences (Konfident Kids' Parent Company) for over seven years as well as Konfident Kids Paediatric Services since its inception.

Geraldine enjoys a challenge and loves working with families and helping them to gain a better understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder in order to relieve the frustration levels of the children and their families.

Stephanie Burrows

Stephanie is a Speech Pathologist who completed her qualification at Sydney University. Stephanie has been working with Konfident Kids for over two years now and thoroughly enjoys working with children. Stephanie is very creative and loves making resources and games for her sessions to make each session fun and different! This is evident by the giggling heard outside her room.

Stephanie has completed a range of courses including The Introductory course of Working with Children with Autism, run by Monique Simpson from Connect Therapy, ‘Let’s Chew it Over’ a paediatric feeding workshop run by Westmead Children’s Hospital and a Paediatric Acquired Brain Injury & Language Workshop also run by Westmead Children’s Hospital.

 

Jessica Abi-Hanna

Jessica is a speech pathologist who recently completed her qualification at the University of Sydney. She enjoys working with children and believes each child is unique and has their own way of learning. She is motivated to provide a service that ensures each child has a positive and fun  learning experience .

Jessica loves to make resources and is always looking for the next best thing to engage children in her sessions.

 

Daneka Dallmayer

Daneka is an Occupational Therapist, B.Hlth.Sc (OT), who graduated from the University of Newcastle. Since graduation she was worked in a range of settings including hospitals, community, schools and private practice. Daneka loves working with kids and is passionate about Sensory Integration therapy and its application to children with Autism & Sensory Processing Disorder. Her most rewarding therapy outcome is when the kids she works with, want to participate in activities they previously avoided.

Daneka is accredited in the Wilbargers' Protocol in the treatment of Sensory Defensiveness. She has done continuing education with Winnie Dunn (OTR), author of the Sensory Profile. She has also attended Sheila Frick's (OTR) "Listening with the Whole Body" workshop and training in Therapeutic Listening ®, a sound based intervention. She has participated in Mary Kawar's (OTR) vestibular activation workshop.

   

Emma King

Emma in an Occupational Therapist who has completed her degree through Sydney University. She has been working with Konfident Kids Paediatric Services for over a year now and Konfident Kids Sports for twos years as a Sports Facilitator. Emma is also accredited in the Wilbargers' Protocol in the treatment of Sensory Defensiveness, and has done continuing education with Winnie Dunn (OTR), author of the Sensory Profile.

Emma has always enjoyed working with children and as a result wanted to become a Paediatric Occupational Therapist to help as many children as possible reach their potential. During her time at University, all her electives and specialised subjects were in the Paediatric field. She has gained experience through working with the Paediatric Teams at both Campbelltown and Liverpool hospitals.

 

Katie Warrent

Katie is an Occupational Therapist who completed her degree through the University of Western Sydney. She started working with Konfident Kids Paediatric Services since June this year, and really loves her job.

Katie has always wanted to work with children and their families, and therefore chose to become a Paediatric Occupational Therapist to help as many children become as independent as they can. Katie has really enjoyed working at Konfident Kids, building good rapport with clients and their families. Katie enjoys making her sessions different, catering each session to each of her clients likes as well as their needs, to make the sessions as fun and enjoyable to her clients as possible.

Whilst studying to become an Occupational Therapist, Katie gained experience working with children of all ages. Katie also completed university placements and choose all electives in the Paediatric field, gaining experience through working with the Paediatric Teams at Ingleburn Community Health Centre and The Cerebral Palsy Alliance Prairiewood.

  

Alex Allen

Alex is an Allied Health Assistant and Therapy Aide with Konfident Kids Paediatric Services and is the Konfident Kids Sports Program Coordinator. Alex has completed modules in a Cert IV in Allied Health Assistance and has been working with Konfident Kids Paediatric Services for over two years now.

Alex has been a Sports Faciliator with Konfident Kids Sports Services for going on four years and is always ready to jump into therapy with a sports and fitness focus.

Alex has a background with the Australian Army Cadets which is one of the largest Youth Development Organisations in Australia and has extensive experience working with adolescents.

 

Administration and Support

Where would we be without our fantastic Administration and Support staff who assist in making everything run smoothly, from booking appointments and assessments, to the first time you walk through the door and have your session with the Paediatric Staff.

A big thank you to our Administrator; Corinna, and Support staff; Jodi and Kris who help make our jobs a little easier!
