Training for Parents

Parenting children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder can be extremely challenging. This course aims to give you the understanding and the tools to manage your child's behaviour. The course will cover the following areas:

• What is an Autism Spectrum Disorder.
• What is an Applied Behavioural Approach to behaviour.
• Sensory processing and its impact on behaviour.
• Communication and its impact on behaviour.
• Techniques to reduce negative behaviours.
• Techniques to increase positive behaviours.

This course also aims to put you in touch with other families who are attempting to address challenging behaviours.

Details:

The course will run for 1.5 hours, over four evenings. Refreshments will be provided.
